It's hard to believe that tomorrow I embark on my third year of teaching. I am looking forward to seeing the twenty or so students I will be molding throughout the year. I spent yesterday in my classroom adding the finishing touches. Our classroom theme is the ocean, so we have a lot of nautical decorations and fish-y puns to look forward to! In my third year, I think I have the hang of it! My academic calendar is completely planned and I'm looking forward to getting back into a self-contained classroom after feeling a bit nomadic last year.
The day I stop being this excited about the first day of school will be the day I quit.
